Amanda’s Adventures

Welcome! This site chronicles my unique perspective on trails and viewpoints. As a person with various health issues, I have limited mobility. I got tired of constantly being surprised when online sources claimed a trail was easy, only to find it much harder. My hope is that my honest description of these locations can help others with limited mobility. Let’s go on an adventure!

Disclaimer: While I self-identify as handicapped, as I find it empowering, I understand that not everyone with my limitations would want to be labeled as such.

Come along on my adventures, one slow

and steady step at a time

Columbia River Gorge

The Oregon Coast

Mt. Hood Natl Forest

Rivers, lakes, and waterfalls? Oh my!

Willamette Valley

More than just wineries, explore all the different waterways, farms, forests, & quaint small towns.

Central & Eastern

Experience the vast array of scenery the region has to offer from lush forests, breathtaking mountains, to the serene beauty of desert vistas.

Southern Oregon

More than just a gateway to California, this region has a lot to offer when it comes to culture, history, & natural wonders.

I acknowledge that people who experience disability may not identify as handicapped like me but I hope to bring more representation for a type of hiker I feel has been marginalized.

You don’t have to have an invisible illness like I do to be able to benefit from my guide. Anyone that experiences any kind of physical limitations or is just not in the tippy top of shape can hopefully benefit from my experiences in “the wild”.

Psoriatic Arthritis

Similar to the more well known Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriatic is another type of auto-immune inflammatory disease that can attack the skin, joints, tissues, and other organs.
